Miss Nepal World 2016 Winner

Asmi Shrestha won the title of Miss Nepal  2016 as she overcame other eighteen contestants to win the beauty pageant held in Kathmandu this evening.

The pageant was organised by The Hidden Treasure at the DurbarMarg-based hotel De’La Annapurna.

Evana Manandhar Miss Nepal 2015 handed the crown to the newly crowned 21st Miss Nepal Asmi Shrestha at a grand finale.

Shrestha will represent Nepal in the Miss World Contest to be held in the future. Similarly the first runner-up will represent Nepal in the Miss Earth and Miss International respectively in the world event.

Roshani Khatri (first runner-up) was crowned with the title Miss Nepal Earth 2016  while Barsha Lekhi (second runner-up) baged the Miss Nepal International 2016.

The top five finalists who made it to the last round were asked a common question by the judge. The contestants were required to write down the answer in the piece of paper in a given time, which was later read out.

The question was do u agree with quota reservation for women is good/bad and no reservation?

The contestants were asked to pick one and answer it with logical reasons.

This was the question which determined the winner, Asmi Shrestha short and sweet answer won the hearts of panel of judges as they decided the ultimate winner.

Ashma KC bagged the title of Miss Fascino and Miss Athletic where as the winner Asmi Shrestha won the titles of Miss Photogenic and Miss Intellectual awards.
